I don't say this often, but.... "damn!". I know it sounds dorky but when I was 10 I was really into horses and one of my dreams was to see the Lipizzaners perform in Vienna. Where'd you see them?

These guys are the "World Famous" Lipizzaner Stallions, based out of Florida (www.lipizzaner.com). Not the real deal from Vienna, sadly...some day I too would love to see the Vienna Riding School. But they truly are amazing, even if they aren't the originals. ;-)

They travel all over North America so perhaps one day when you're back on this side of the world you'll see them. :)

I saw these guys when they came to the Baton Rouge River Center many a year ago. It was phenomenal.

I think that`s the same troupe I saw in california years ago! I remeber being not all that impressed, though. Was this picture taken indoors? How`d you get the horse so isolated?

I cannot find anything beautiful in this piece. Just look at the expression on it's face! I don't like these kind of things very much, coz you can see in their eyes that they don't enjoy it...
:iconrohwen:
You are right, they don't seem happy. But how could they be when they spend their lives on the road, with no time to be horses? It's not a nice life for them. :(

It's an amazing manuver and a great capture, but the horse seems to be really freaked by it all.
Maybe it's just the angle combined with the way he was looking at his person... But he still looks really wild-eyed.
